Robert Hamilton (1749 - 1830):

Robert Hamilton was born in Coleraine, County Londonderry, and was educated in Edinburgh where he became a doctor. After he had joined the army he wrote Duties of a Regimental Surgeon and also a paper on Influenza. He practised in Ipswich for ten years and died there.
