Conolly Norman (1853 - 1908):

Conolly Norman was born in Fahan, County Donegal, and was educated in Dublin. In 1876 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland; his specialist subject was the study of insanity. From 1886 to 1908 he was superintendent of Richmond Asylum, where he instigated improved methods of treatment.
