Mervyn Archdale (1723 - 1791): |
Mervyn Archdall, whose ancestors had settled in County Fermanagh, was a minister, antiquarian and genealogist. He collected coins, medals and seals and published a major reference work, Monasticon Hibernicum, in 1786. He was a member of the Royal Irish Academy. In 1789 Archdall brought out an edition of Lodge's Peerage of Ireland.
