James Guinness Rodgers (1822 - 1911):

James Rodgers was born in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, and was educated at Trinity College, Dublin. He was a popular preacher and President of the Union of Churches. From 1865 to 1900 he resided in Clapham and was a good friend of Gladstone. He edited The Congregationalist and the Congregational Review and had a Doctor of Divinity conferred upon him by the University of Edinburgh. He published many works, including his autobiography.
