Alexander Roulston Foster (1890 - 1972):

Alex Foster was born in Derry. He was a schoolteacher and was an international rugby player. Between 1910 and 1921 he was capped seventeen times for Ireland. He played for the British and Irish Lions side which toured South Africa in 1910 and won two test places, scoring a try on his test debut. He captained Ireland three times.
