Ida White (c.1890 - ):
Poet and revolutionary


Ida White lived in Ballymena, County Antrim. She produced two volumes of poetry, one in 1874 and the other in 1890, though much of the material was written before 1870. She was a Republican, a free-thinker, and later, an exile in Paris. She was imprisoned in Holloway and made a public attack on the Tzar of Russia.
