George Waters (1863 - 1947):
George Waters was born in Holywood, County Down. He studied at the Government School of Design in Belfast and spent much of his life as a lithographic artist. He was a founder member of the Belfast Art Society. He painted many of his watercolours in County Donegal and County Antrim. He was one of a group known as the Ulster Society of Painters, and he was a member of the Ulster Arts Club. His work is represented at the Ulster Museum.
