Mary O'Hagan was born in Belfast and entered the Sisters of Poor Clares in Newry in 1844, where she became abbess in 1853. She founded the Convent of Poor Clares, Kenmare in 1861 and was abbess there until her death. [Biography by M. F. Cusack]
