James Willson Agnew (1815 - 1901): |
James Willson Agnew was born in Ballyclare, County Antrim, and studied medicine at Glasgow. After practising medicine in Sydney, he went to Hobart and helped found the Royal Society of Tasmania. He became Premier of Tasmania in 1886 and was knighted. He died in Hobart.
