Noel Martin (1891 - 1985):
Golf player


Noel Martin was born in Portrush, County Antrim and was a brigadier general. He was also an amateur international golfer and played for Royal Portrush. In 1920 and 1923 he won the Irish Open Amateur title and in 1928, he won the British Army Championship. He won the North Indian Championship twice while serving in India. He played international golf for Ireland on seven occasions and captained the side in 1930. In 1928 he was a member of the Walker Cup team.
