Hugh Maguire ( - 1600):
Noblemen

Hugh Maguire became Lord of Fermanagh after his father's death. He had various confrontations after he defied the English government, and he is said to have slain Sir Warham St Leger with his own hand a mile outside Cork, dying of wounds in the same conflict. An ode was written to him by his bard, O'Hussey, and translated into English by James Clarence Mangan.
