William Henry West Betty (or Batty) (1791 - 1874):
William Henry West Betty came from Dromore, County Down, and was a well-known boy actor, under the name of 'Young Roscius'. He played on the London stage, and it has been claimed that Pitt the Younger adjourned parliament so that he could see Betty playing in Hamlet. Betty is said to have retired at the age of twenty-one with a large fortune.
