Cleric, Presbyterian and politician

John Kinnear was born in Clonaneese, County Tyrone, and was educated in Belfast. He spent the rest of his life in Letterkenny, County Donegal, where he was ordained a Presbyterian minister in 1848. He received a Doctorate of Divinity in 1874.
