George Edmund Howard (1715 - 1786):
Lawyer and architect


George Howard was born in Coleraine, and was educated in Dublin. He was a solicitor , a land agent and later an architect. He supported Catholic Emancipation. Among his publications are many legal works and some plays, Almeyda, or The Rival Kings and The Female Gamester. His Miscellaneous Works in Prose and Verse was published in 1782. He was a Freeman of the City of Dublin, and he died there.
