Charles Hare Hemphill (1822 - 1908): |
Charles Hemphill was born in Cashel, County Tipperary, and was educated at Trinity College, Dublin. Having been called to the Bar and made a Queen's Counsel he served as a county court judge from 1863 to 1877. In 1895 he was elected member of parliament for North Tyrone after having served as Solicitor-General for the three previous years. He was created a peer in 1906, and he died in Dublin.
