Samuel Hanna (1771 - 1852):
Samuel Hanna was born in Kellswater, County Antrim, and was educated in Glasgow. He was ordained a Presbyterian minister in the parish of Drumbo and moved to Belfast in 1799. He was leader of an evangelical revival in Ulster. He was appointed Professor of Divinity in 1817 and Doctor of Divinity the following year. He was Moderator of the first General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in 1840. His publications include sermons and pamphlets.
