James Bentley Gordon (1749 - 1819):
James Gordon was born at Neeve Hall, County Londonderry. He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, and ordained in 1773. After a period of ministry in County Cork he became Rector of Killegney. He wrote a History of the Rebellion of 1798; a History of Ireland, 1806, and Terraquea; or, a new system of geography and modern history.
