Andrew Fullerton was born in Dalkey and studied medicine at Queen's College, Belfast. He became a surgeon and was President of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and an Honorary Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Among his publications are Colles's Fracture, Surgical Anatomy of the Knee Joint and Operations on the Gall Bladder and Bile Duct.
