George Armstrong (1792 - 1857): |
George Armstrong was born in Drogheda and educated at Trinity College, Dublin. He was ordained in the Established Church in 1815, became a clergyman in Bangor, County Down, and firmly supported Catholic Emancipation. He contributed prolifically to periodicals. He moved to Bristol where he joined the Unitarian church as a minister and died there.
