Joseph Dixon (1806 - 1866):

Joseph Dixon was born in Coalisland, County Tyrone, and was educated at Maynooth where he was ordained in 1829. He became Dean and Professor of Hebrew, and succeeded Cardinal Cullen as Archbishop of Armagh. He wrote a General Introduction to Scriptures in 1852 and The Blessed Cornelius in 1855.
