John Campbell (1862 - 1929):
John Campbell was born in Templepatrick, County Antrim, and was educated at Queen's College, Belfast. In 1887 he graduated as a Doctor of Medicine and in 1909 a Doctor of Laws. He was a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. He served during the First World War and held many hospital appointments. From 1921 to 1925 he served as member of parliament for Queen's University and was Chairman of Convocation. In 1925 he was knighted. He published A History of Unitarianism and works on obstetrics and gynaecology.
