Florence Mary Wilson (c.1870 - 1946):

Florence Mary Wilson was born in Lisburn, County Antrim, but lived for most of her life in Bangor, County Down. She published a collection of poems The Coming of the Earls that was popular in America. Her work was influenced by Irish archaeology and legend and she is best known for her ballad `The Man from God Knows Where' (1918) which was written about Thomas Russell who was hanged in 1803.
