Brian Steenson was born in Crossgar, County Down. He was a motorcycle road racer. He competed in many motorcycle races in both Ireland and England. In the World Championship Grand Prix events from 1967 until 1970, he finished five times in the top five places. He was killed in a crash at the Senior T.T in the Isle of Man.
