Louise Stacpoole-Kenny was born in Dublin and was educated at the Loreto Convent, Omagh, and in Paris. She was a prolific writer, and the subjects of her biographies included St Martin of Tours, St Francis of Sales and Pius X. She also wrote more than twelve novels.
