Niall More O'Neill was King of Tyrone and fought many battles against the Anglo-Irish in the fourteenth century. It is said that in 1387 he built a house at Eamhain Macha, now Navan Fort, near Armagh, and entertained there the learned men and the bards of Ireland. In 1397 he abdicated in favour of his son.
