Conor O'Devany (c.1535 - 1612):

Conor O'Devany was born in Ulster and educated at the Franciscan convent in Donegal. He was consecrated in Rome in 1582. He was imprisoned twice and compiled Index Martyralis, which was a list of his fellow-prisoners. He was tried for high treason in Dublin, and was hanged there.
