Henry Boyd (c.1749 - 1832):
Cleric, Church of Ireland and translator


Henry Boyd was born near Dromore, County Down. He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, and became a vicar in Rathfriland and chaplain to the Earl of Charleville. He wrote poems and translated into English Dante's Inferno and Divine Comedy.
