George Morrow (1870 - 1955):

George Morrow was born in Belfast and studied art at the Government School of Design. Later he exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists. He began to contribute to Punch in 1906, joined the staff in 1924 and became art editor from 1932 until 1937. He illustrated many books and collaborated with E. V. Lucas in George Morrow: His Book (1920); More Morrow (1921) and Some More (1928). His work is in the Ulster Museum, the Linen Hall Library, Belfast, and the British Museum. His four brothers, Albert, Edwin, Jack and Norman were connected with painting and drawing.
